THE STRANGE THING

Woman in vintage style with a mystery box.

What is that thing anyway? Where did it come from?

So you saw the strange thing and now you just want to know what it was.

Well - honestly, I don't know what it is. It passed from person to person for many years. I got it from a sideshow guy who traveled the world with it for years until he retired and it came into my posession.

Before touring sideshows, the story claims that it was discovered at the bottom of a well shaft in Kamchatka, Russia by workers who somehow preserved it. When I got it, it came with a couple of documents including a letter from someone who examined it and didn't know what it was.

So what is it? –– You tell me

Where did it come from? –– Decide for yourself.

The real question is: why in the world is it sitting in a box, traveling traveling around, and why did you find yourself looking into a box at the strangest thing you ever saw?

Keep scrolling and perhaps you'll discover the answer.

what if what's in the box is a mirror?

A Mirror that accurately reflects your heart!

So What Do I do? What can I do to solve the problem?

There is a solution to the problem we all have.

Could what you saw in the box, be an accurate reflection of someone's heart? Maybe even your own?

We know something is wrong with mankind.

We  want to believe that we're  "good people," but we know that's not true. We're  capable of doing good things, but we're also selfish. We lie, cheat, and steal.

Ultimately, our hearts aren't good. They're desperately wicked.

There is a solution to the problem we all have.

So What Do I do? What can I do to solve the problem?

There is a solution to the problem we all have.

The problem with a wicked heart is that you can't fix it yourself any more than you can perform your own heart transplant.

What you need is a new heart.

We have all sinned, and as a result, have separated ourselves from the holy God who created us.

YOU can't fix your sin problem yourself.

The great joy is that what you need has already been done.

So What Do I do? What can I do to solve the problem?

So What Do I do? What can I do to solve the problem?

So What Do I do? What can I do to solve the problem?

So God sent His Son, Jesus. He became a man, lived a perfect life, and die on the cross for sin. He rose from the dead on the third day.

The solution is to repent of your sin and believe in Jesus.

Agree that you're a sinner in need of a Savior, and trust in Jesus and what He did as your only hope.

Read below what the Bible says:

But what does the Ultimate Book say?

Psalm 96

”Recount His glory among the nations, His wondrous deeds among all the peoples.… For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Yahweh made the heavens.… Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name;”

Further expanding on the theme of God's glory, Ephesians 1:3-14. the longest sentence of the Bible, describes what God has done for us in salvation. We see the phrase “to the praise of His glory” repeated three times.

1 Corinthians 10:31

“Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. “

Acts 17:30-31

…God is now commanding men that everyone everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness …

Romans 3:10-12

The problem is sin: "as it is written, “There is none righteous, not even one; There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for God; All have turned aside, together they have become worthless; There is none who does good, There is not even one.” 3:22b-23 – for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Genesis 6:5

Then Yahweh saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Peter 3:18

For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, so that He might bring you to God…

2 Corinthians 5:21

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Romans 10:9-10

…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, leading to righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, leading to salvation.

Mark 1:15

…repent and believe in the gospel.
